 Tabor
Home Winery opened in July 1997 –offering six wines.
This year we are producing 19 wines. At Tabor
Home Winery, our emphasis is on the production of premium
table wines from our own vineyards. Presently 1500 of the 9000
gallons we produce come from our own vineyards.
Our wine production increases 40% annually and, each year, more than half of our wines
win awards at international competitions. |
The
winery has an airy, cathedral-ceiling tasting room and unique wine-gift shop that
overlooks our vineyards and the Civil War-era barn that we are restoring for winery
festivals and to have available for receptions. The panoramic view from the tasting room
is miles of Iowa countryside –straight from a Grant Wood painting.
